当第一滴雨来临

我闪身进屋

任由随后赶来的暴雨敲窗

旧时的雷鸣划破云墨

一道闪电携着玻璃上的水痕

蜿蜒成掌纹里今日的新雨

屋外的喧嚣顿作轰鸣的锣鼓

而我静坐

如一朵沉默的荷花，嵌入画框

Listening to the Rain

When the first drop of rain arrives,

I slip into the house,

letting the ensuing downpour drum against the window.

Old thunder splits the ink-dark clouds—

a flash of lightning, with the water-streaked glass,

winds into the new rain within the lines of my palm.

The uproar outside turns into crashing gongs and drums,

yet I sit still—

a silent lotus blossom, set within a frame.
